LIMBS

LIMBS is a downloadable art creation tool that allows you to draw limbs to the screen. Think of it like Mario Paint, but with limbs. It is also similar to Townscaper; there is no goal, just the ability to create your own designs. Tiles can join other colours to hold hands, or join up together to create a loop. Limb segments can overlap and stretch, and they can form boots.

In LIMBS you can choose the size of your canvas and choose from a selection of colour palettes. After you are finished, you can export your design either as a .LIMBS file to be edited later, or as a .SVG file that can be converted to a PNG and shared with friends.

While creating your design, you can also turn on tessellate mode, where the bottom of the canvas will connect to the top, and each side connects to the other (see screenshots for an example).

LIMBS was created for a college Computer Science project over a period of 6 months, and then finalised according to play-tester feedback during June and July 2024. If you want to find out more about this project and how it came to be check out this webpage.

CONTROLS

Left click	Place a tile/accept
Right click	Remove a tile
Middle mouse button and drag	Move the canvas
Scroll wheel	Zoom in/out
Arrow keys	Move the canvas
+	Zoom in
-	Zoom out

NOTE: the macOS release is experimental, as I do not have a Mac to try this on myself. Any bugs exclusive to the Mac release will remain unfixed.
